Eye Surgery Associates of Zanesville is seeking a comprehensive ophthalmologist to join our team in Zanesville, Ohio. We are a pathology-based practice, seeing only medical and surgical eye problems with a referral area of five counties.
Our practice of four comprehensive ophthalmologists is planning to replace our senior member who is retiring in the summer of 2027. We would anticipate our new doctor being busy from day one with a projection of 400-500 cataracts the first year with plenty of room for growth from there. Interest in glaucoma or ophthalmoplastics would be a plus.
We own our 12,000 square foot building which is on Genesis HealthCare grounds. We have 16 fully equipped exam lanes and all of the ancillary equipment including Zeiss Cirrus 5000 OCT, Humphrey Field Analyzer 3, Zeiss IOLMaster 700, B-scan, A-scan, etc. We also own our own surgery center, InSight Surgery & Laser Center, which is on a separate site close to the office. We have two fully equipped operating rooms with Alcon Unity Phaco machines and trained, attentive ophthalmic nurses. We have the luxury of having retinal consultants from Columbus who come to our office three days a week, as well as an excellent ophthalmic plastic surgeon from Columbus, all of whom are very beneficial to have at our disposal when a complex patient presents to our practice.
Zanesville traces its roots back to 1797. We were the capital of Ohio from 1810-1812 and are considered the “Pottery Capital” of the world for both commercial pottery and collectable art pottery produced circa 1890-1940. Our location offers a hometown feel while being very close to the amenities of Columbus, including only 55 minutes away from John Glenn International airport.
