The Eye Institute of Utah is a growing, fully equipped, state-of-the-art facility housing some of the most experienced and skilled vision care specialists in the Intermountain West. Currently, we have 5 surgeons and 1 optometrist on staff who specialize in cataract, glaucoma, cornea, retina, and oculoplastics.
Company History
Established in 1980 by Dr. W. Andrew Lyle, as the first and largest office-based eye surgical center in Utah, The Eye Institute is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and services surrounding area patients in Wyoming, Idaho and Nevada.
The Eye Institute’s 30,000 square-foot facility is located at 755 East 3900 South in Salt Lake City. The facility also houses the SurgiCare Center, an outpatient, ambulatory surgical facility which includes four operating rooms. This unique, state-of-the-art facility allows skilled surgeons to perform major eye and cosmetic surgery using some of the most technologically advanced equipment available, in a comfortable atmosphere. The Eye Institute staff consists of approximately 50 employees including: surgeons and doctors of medicine and optometry, technicians, nurses and office personnel.
