FACULTY POSITION AVAILABLE IN NEURO-OPHTHALMOLOGY

 
The UCLA Department of Ophthalmology invites applications for faculty in neuro-ophthalmology. Applicants should be dedicated to teaching, exemplary patient care, professional activities, creative contributions to administrative, academic or research activities, and service to the University and to the profession. Candidates must be board eligible and immediately eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of California. Further, the Search Committee also seeks candidates committed to equity, diversity and inclusion and we welcome candidates who have experience in and who have demonstrated commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds and to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students through teaching and mentoring activities.

• Targeted Reference Checks. Although all applicants for faculty recruitments must complete the entire application, only finalists (i.e. those to whom the department or other hiring unit would like to extend a formal offer) considered for Academic Senate faculty positions will be subject to targeted employment reference checks.

The salary range for this position is $134,700 - $411,500. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf), which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree in medicine or equivalent (M.D.)
• Postgraduate residency training in ophthalmology or neurology.
• Additional qualifications
  (required at time of start)
• Completion of fellowship in Neuro-Ophthalmology.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of California.
