Description
We seek a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions, providing exceptional patient care, assisting with and soon conducting surgeries. The Ophthalmologist will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and senior care, ensuring comprehensive eye health management.
Requirements
Duties
Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye diseases.
Develop and implement treatment plans for various ocular conditions.
Perform surgical procedures as necessary, adhering to aseptic techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated patient care.
Educate patients on eye health, preventive measures, and treatment options.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology and related medical fields.
Refer patients to our medspa offerings: aesthetics, red light therapy, carotenoid scanner for eye and skin health, home skin and health products
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree with completed residency in Ophthalmology.
Post-residency experience is preferred but not necessary. In fact, this position working under the highly respected Susan H. Senft, MD, President of the Hawaii Ophthalmology Society, is an excellent hand-on learning opportunity.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical coding practices.
Experience with EMR systems is desirable.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing compassionate service to diverse populations.
